A profound level of the German language is not required. However, it is recommended to have basic knowledge of German (level A1). If you have no basic knowledge of the German language, you can attend a German language course at RWTH, which can be credited (6 CP) for the studies.

If a German course is attended, the tuition fee for the course will be waived if the ECTS CP (6 CP) earned can be credited for the course of study. Accordingly, International RSE students can take the German course free of charge.
