Soft Skills -> Additional Offers

Every year, RWTH welcomes around 1,900 international students, whose needs are at the forefront of the International Office's activities.

They will help you get off to a good start at university, welcome you, and support you individually, particularly in the initial stages, but also beyond. Quick and successful integration into the university and city, a lively culture of welcoming, and peer mentoring are essential.

Every semester, the International Office organises a series of activities to attain this goal. Based on the principle "from students for students", they aim to not only improve the overall support for international students but also provide you with the perfect opportunity to get involved internationally, gain important experiences, and acquire soft skills.

"Be Buddy" is an informal mentoring programme initiated by the International Office of RWTH Aachen University, which aims to enable newly enrolled international students to adjust to university life and living in a new city, to meet, mix with, and learn from other RWTH students. Thus, the International Office is committed to pairing each international student with an experienced RWTH student – ideally from the same faculty – who will provide support and general information.
