Master thesis

The master thesis can only be registered if 60 CP have been obtained and all additional courses that were given at the time of admission have been passed. For all students who begin their Master's studies from the winter semester 2020/2021 onwards, the module "Scientific Integrity" must also be passed before the Master thesis can be registered.

The processing time for the master thesis is 6 months during the course of study. The scope of the written draft should not exceed 80 pages without Annexes.

In general, the master thesis can be written by any chair that holds a teaching position in the degree program Transport Engineering and Mobility. If you are interested and if you meet the requirements, please contact the chairs directly.

Registration and recognition

After a topic has been coordinated with a chair, the master thesis must be registered at the central examination office. For this purpose, the Central Examination Office fills out a control sheet which is then handed over to the supervising chair.

With the signature of the professor of the supervising chair on the control sheet and the handing over of the exact proposal of the master thesis the processing time begins.

The master thesis must be submitted to the Central Examination Office in due time. At least two printed and bound copies must be handed in. The master thesis will be stamped there and then sent to the Chair. After submission of the document, a date will be set within the next eight weeks for an oral presentation of the results at the chair.
